Josh Hart Closes 2025 Season with Pomona Finale

OCALA, FL (November 11, 2025) --- A new chapter will begin next season for Josh Hart as he moves to John Force Racing and into the Top Fuel dragster vacated by two-time Top Fuel world champion Brittany Force. The 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series is still top of mind for the multi-time Top Fuel national event winner and independent team owner. He will be looking to close out this chapter of his racing career on a high note this weekend at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona.

“We aren’t in the championship conversation, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have an impact on who hoists the trophy,” said Hart. “In the past we have won some rounds and hurt some feelings. My mindset is I want to go into the off-season with some momentum and getting a win in Pomona will do just that.”

Earlier this season during the historic Winternationals in Pomona Hart made his quickest run of the season. He lit up the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip scoreboards with a blistering 3.675 second pass at over 330 mph. In the first round he duplicated the effort grabbing a win over Justin Ashley to advance to the quarterfinals.

“We made some great runs in Pomona earlier this season and I think we can do that again,” said Hart. “I am appreciative of all my guys and I am working to make sure they all have a good situation when the season wraps up. We have made a few announcements and there will be more in the coming months. I am a man of my word, and I said I would take care of my people so that is what I plan to do.”

In recent weeks Hart has facilitated the move of crew chief Jason McCulloch to the championship contending SCAG Top Fuel team and he announced crew member Dustin Ostaszewski is completely set up to run Victor Machine Works, LLC, in Brownsburg, Indiana. In advance of the SEMA show last week Hart announced that two crew members David Gaterell and Alex Barrett would be joining the team at Burnyzz Speed Shop to help the thriving business expand its footprint nationally.

“I am excited about my future racing in Top Fuel with John Force Racing and I am thrilled with the future opportunities for all my guys,” said Hart. “Over the past four years I have learned a lot and I am looking forward to just focusing on driving and winning. This weekend at Pomona I can already feel a huge weight off my shoulders so I am totally focused on qualifying and winning rounds on Sunday.”

The In-N-Out NHRA Finals will be a true test for Hart and his Top Fuel team as a limited field of competitors will all be assured of qualifying for the 16-car field. The four qualifying rounds will be perfect for crew chiefs to dial their 12,000-horsepowered land rockets in for the race on Sunday. Qualifying position will be a chess match and various bye rounds will be on the table throughout the ladder. Hart is looking to continue his starting line prowess and going rounds at the final race of the season.

“I have been focusing on my reaction times and this race there is no reason to leave anything on the table,” said Hart. “I have hopefully eight more passes down the track in 2025 and I want to make the most out of every one of them.”

Qualifying will kick off with two sessions on Friday, November 14 followed by two sessions on Saturday, November 15 to set the field. Final eliminations will start on Sunday at 11 a.m. with the race being broadcast nationally on FS1. For tickets or additional information visit www.nhra.com.
