Luck Not a Factor for Josh Hart Heading into Las Vegas

OCALA, FL (October 28, 2025) --- The penultimate race of the NHRA Countdown will be contested this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Josh Hart will be racing to close out the season on a high note during the Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals. The business owner and entrepreneur from Ocala, Florida recently announced he will be racing for John Force Racing in 2026 but that has not taken his attention from wanting to add more victories to his personal total in 2025.

“We have made a lot of announcements over the past couple of weeks but none of them have taken my attention off my goal of winning before the end of the season,” said Hart, a multi-time Top Fuel national event winner. “My goal every time I come to the track is to park my racecar in the winner’s circle. That hasn’t changed. I have a great group of crew guys and we are all going to work together starting on Friday at The Strip.”

Hart will be looking to capture the Mo Jo he had in 2023 when he turned on two win lights at the Nevada Nationals from the No. 12 qualifier spot losing to eventual race winner Mike Salinas in the semis. On that day he took out championship contenders Leah Pruett and Doug Kalitta in back-to-back rounds on hole shots. Hart has continued to perfect his starting line technique and is one of the best drivers in Top Fuel off the line.

“Winning in Top Fuel is a team sport no matter what anyone says,” said Hart. “There is only so much a driver can do to help his team win but one thing that can make a huge difference is reaction time. I want to be first off the line and give my team the best chance to win. My guys are some of the best in the business so I want to give them my best too.”

While Hart continues to work on his reaction times and focus on winning, the final two races are the perfect opportunity to carry momentum into the off-season. Hart has big plans for 2026, but he knows that success in Las Vegas and Pomona could reap huge benefits leading up to the 75th anniversary season of the NHRA.

“Next year will be huge for the NHRA with the 75th anniversary and I want to be one of the drivers people are talking about,” said Hart. “I will be in an amazing situation with John Force Racing, but I know I can still make a difference this season. We might not be racing for the championship, but we can make an impact on who wins the championship. I am not going to take any rounds off.”

Hart will be on track Friday for two qualifying sessions with Saturday’s two session on tap to set the field of 16 Top Fuel dragsters. The race will be televised nationally on FS1 and fans can get information on the race and tickets at www.nhra.com.
